'TOBY THE ROADIE' is a series of read and colour childrens books about a rock band roadie who has a heart of gold and is often late for gigs due to various escapades while helping people out. He has a strong moral mind and puts others before himself, often risking his life, saving people from drowning or a raging car and house fire. It tells of the bands struggle for success, the ducks, gerbil, parrot and dog he saved who talk to Toby and help make them all global superstars. The complete story will be told in four books with illustrations from renowned artist/illustrator Duncan Lamb The books are in the process of being formatted before submission. RICHARD PALMER Richard Palmer is a writer and author of short stories and poems. Born in Stafford U.K on 6th, May 1944, the second eldest of four brothers, he lived in Melling, Lancashire, a rural village a mile from Aintree Racecourse, Liverpool, until aged eighteen. He was educated at Maghull Secondary Modern School and Bootle Municipal Technical College, Merseyside. He served for eleven years in the Police Force and many years in the motor trade. His writing capabilities began at an early age with stories, poems and newspaper articles. After the death of his wife Barbara, aged forty six, in 1991, he became a member of Liverpool Writers Club and produced a collection of poems. Years later, Rich and wife Linda ran 'Firkin House', their B & B in Hoylake, Wirral, U.K, before retiring to Paphos, Cyprus in 2012. He reads music and plays the piano, guitar and mouth organ and has written a few songs. He got together with Rick Legend and Duncan Lamb, sharing afternoons at various taverna's while putting the 'Toby' books together.
